The 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance receives the full “Highland” refresh that debuted on lesser models in late 2023. Sharper headlights, a smoother front fascia without the old “duck lip,” and a more aggressive rear diffuser give the car a cleaner, lower-drag look. The drag coefficient drops to an impressive 0.219 — better than most sports cars. Standard 20-inch Warp wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (235/35 front, 275/30 rear) not only look menacing in gloss black but also improve grip and turn-in response. New color options such as Ultra Red and Stealth Grey further enhance the premium feel of this performance flagship.
Step inside the 2024 Model 3 Performance and you’re greeted by a dramatically improved cabin. Ambient lighting now wraps fully around the dash and doors in customizable colors, perforated vegan leather seats with red stitching scream “Performance,” and ventilated front seats are finally standard. The new steering wheel drops stalks entirely — indicators and wipers are now capacitive buttons and rollers on the wheel — taking some getting used to but reducing clutter. Rear passengers gain an 8-inch touchscreen for climate and entertainment, plus vastly improved seat cushions and legroom thanks to the thinner front seatbacks. Total cargo capacity is 24 cu ft with the rear seats folded, including the frunk.
With 510 horsepower and 554 lb-ft of instant torque from dual motors, the 2024 Model 3 Performance rockets from 0–60 mph in a claimed 2.8 seconds (independent tests have recorded 2.7 seconds). The new adaptive damping system offers three modes — Comfort, Standard, and Sport — and is noticeably more compliant than the old bone-jarring setup while still keeping body roll tightly controlled. Tesla’s latest Track Mode V3 allows drivers to adjust power distribution, stability control intervention, regenerative braking strength, and even the simulated exhaust note through the speakers. Quarter-mile times consistently hit the low 11-second range at over 125 mph.
The 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance uses an 82 kWh (79.7 kWh usable) Panasonic-sourced pack. EPA range is rated at 303 miles, but expect 260–280 miles in mixed real-world driving and around 240–250 miles when pushing hard on the highway at 80 mph. Efficiency averages 3.6–3.9 mi/kWh in normal driving, dropping to 3.0–3.2 mi/kWh during spirited sessions — still excellent for a car this quick.
Peak DC fast-charging speed remains class-leading at 250 kW. A 10–80 % charge takes approximately 27–30 minutes on a V3 or V4 Supercharger, adding up to 170 miles in 15 minutes. At home, the 48-amp Wall Connector delivers 44 miles of range per hour. Thanks to Tesla opening its Supercharger network to other brands in North America and Europe, long-distance travel has never been easier for Model 3 Performance owners.
The 15.4-inch central touchscreen runs the latest UI with sharper graphics, faster response, and blind-spot cameras that pop up automatically when using turn signals. Audio comes from a 17-speaker, 2-subwoofer system that rivals luxury brands costing twice as much. Standard Autopilot includes adaptive cruise control with lane centering. Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability remain optional ($8,000–$15,000 depending on region), adding auto lane changes, Navigate on Autopilot, and city-street driving beta features that continue to improve via OTA updates.
As of 2025, the 2024/2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance starts at $56,990 in the United States (before destination and potential federal/state incentives). In Europe and the Middle East, pricing begins around €58,990–£59,990 depending on market. Direct rivals include the BMW i4 M50, Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, and upcoming Porsche Macan Electric, yet none match the Model 3 Performance’s combination of price, acceleration, charging infrastructure, and software ecosystem.
