The Tesla Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive (AWD) 2023 represents one of the most polarizing and talked-about vehicles in recent automotive history. Launched with massive hype in late 2023 (with the first customer deliveries starting in November), the dual-motor AWD version quickly became the best-selling variant thanks to its balance of performance, range, and price compared to the rear-wheel-drive base model and the insane tri-motor Cyberbeast.
Tesla’s Cybertruck is built around a stainless-steel exoskeleton made from the company’s proprietary Ultra-Hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel. The angular, almost post-apocalyptic design is not just for show — it’s structural. There are no traditional painted body panels, which means no dents in the conventional sense and extreme resistance to scratches and corrosion. The result is a vehicle that looks like it drove straight out of a sci-fi movie while promising real-world durability for construction sites, off-road adventures, or daily commuting.
Step inside and you’re greeted by a 17-inch central touchscreen (upgraded to an 18.5-inch screen with better brightness in later 2023 builds) that controls nearly everything. Physical buttons are almost non-existent except for the steering wheel controls and two scroll wheels. The cabin seats five comfortably (six with the optional center console removed), and the premium vegan leather with perforated seats feels upscale. An additional 9.4-inch rear touchscreen keeps back-seat passengers entertained, and the 360-degree ventilated seats are a standout feature in extreme climates.

The All-Wheel Drive model packs two electric motors producing a combined 600 horsepower and 740 lb-ft of instant torque. Tesla claims 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds (real-world tests often hit low 4s or high 3s with rollout subtracted), which is astonishing for a vehicle that weighs around 6,603–6,843 lbs depending on options. Top speed is electronically limited to 112 mph.
It tows up to 11,000 pounds and has a payload capacity of 2,500 pounds in the bed — numbers that put most traditional full-size trucks to shame while delivering EV silence and instant power.
The Cybertruck AWD uses an 800-volt architecture with a 123 kWh lithium-ion battery pack (structural 4680 cells in early units, transitioning to improved chemistry throughout 2024). Official EPA range is 340 miles for the standard 20-inch wheels, dropping to around 318 miles with the optional 20-inch Cyber wheels and all-terrain tires.
Real-world highway range at 70–75 mph typically lands between 270–300 miles depending on temperature and load. On Tesla Superchargers (V3 and V4), it can add up to 137 miles in 15 minutes, with peak charging rates exceeding 250 kW. It also supports bidirectional charging (Powershare) — up to 11.5 kW to power your home or other vehicles.
Standard equipment includes Full Self-Driving (Supervised) hardware, four-corner air suspension with 17 inches of ground clearance in Extract mode, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering (up to 10°), and a 48-volt low-voltage architecture. The HEPA air filtration system with Bioweapon Defense Mode returns from the Model S/X.
Active safety features are comprehensive: automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control with lane centering, and the controversial yoke-style steering is now optional — most 2023 AWD units come with a traditional round wheel.
When deliveries began in late 2023, the official MSRP for the All-Wheel Drive model was $79,990 USD before destination and taxes. By mid-2025, Tesla has raised the price several times; the current starting price (November 2025) sits at $99,990 for new orders, though early reservation holders locked in the original pricing. Adding Full Self-Driving Capability pushes it past $107,990.
Despite the price creep, demand remains extremely strong — wait times for new orders are still 6–12 months.
The Tesla Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive is not a truck for everyone — but for those who want the most futuristic, capable, and attention-grabbing electric pickup on the planet, nothing else comes close in 2025.
